Jonathan Tippett
Jonathan Tippett is a mechanical engineer and artist, and the founder of the eatART Foundation, an art research lab in Vancouver. He builds giant human-piloted machines: the Mondo Spider, an eight-legged rideable walker (Burning Man 2006); Titanoboa, a 15-metre electromechanical snake (CES 2013); and Prosthesis, the world's first purpose-built off-road racing mech, which he designed, built and pilots. He lives and tests in Squamish, BC.

An eight-legged, 1,600 lb walking machine you ride. Steel legs step in a Klann linkage at a brisk walk, and since 2010 it has run silently on batteries.
